Point and click mapping

Updated my LJmap. After looking at where my friends are located, I came to the disturbing conclusion that they cannot point and click. For instance, it would appear my friend [info]kenfrequed is living down in Iowa now, probably by the silos with the drive through gas station; [info]pinkelephants42 is in the Badlands, panning for gold after giving up on law school; and [info]wage0048 is apparently going back to the land in the Canadian Boundary Waters. Or hiding from the law. Which, considering he got a SMP corporal promotion recently, might not be that bad an idea, since pagers don't work there.

Well, best luck to all of you with your new lives!

I'm trying to get all my Livejournal friends' locations plotted on a map - please add your location starting with this form.

Oh, and by the way, you can zoom to your area and then enter your city name, thereby bypassing the many pitfalls of the "point and click" interface.

All of your suggested location methods are inferior. Latitude and longitude, baby! My position is accurate withing a mile.

I agree, that's how I fixed my location. For those interested, Minneapolis is: 44.9801° N 93.2641° W. The 45th Parallel is actually just North of downtown making Minneapolis half-way to the (geographic) North Pole.

Yeah, seeing as I have no idea what the longitude and latitude is here and I like the badlands because they are pretty I will stay put. At least I'm within a state or two.
